Hi all,
It seems many of us are always debating size difference between stones and whether a difference will be noticeable. A long time ago I created this chart in photoshop that I thought you might want to see. The mm diameter lenghts are noted under each stone. Sorry it''a bit sloppy and the diamonds aren''t lined up well. My photoshop skills still need to be greatly improved.

Enjoy!

THANKS

I think it looks good.

Thanks stone hunter, hopefully it will be useful. When I created it, I rembered thinking how small the difference looked despite the drastic price difference LOL. It convinced me to wait a while to upgrade when I can go substantially larger, instead of just a bit larger.

That''s awesome! I''d love to see something like that but for princess cuts!

cool. i always like seeing as many aca''s as possible together

here''s a chart with different cuts, including princess http://images.amazon.com/media/i3d/01/actual-diamond-size.pdf#search=%22amazon%20diamond%20size%20chart%22

Haha, only a PSer would think to post a size chart where you can actually see the arrows in the photoshop pics!

Thank you for making the effort and taking the time to do that!

And Belle, nice chart too with many different shapes.

Thanks to both of you!

If I ever decide to buy a princess stone, I will probably make one...but that won''t be for many many years.

Very cool chart! It's amazing how little difference you see until WHAM - you notice a significant one. (like from 6.5 to 7)

Very cool indeed. I once curve fitted the data of ideal round diamond size in cts vs. the diameter so when I go shopping, I can calculate and know right underway if the face up spread is under/over the ideal size. The formular is:

Weight = .0036 * (Dia ^ 3.0075)

Weight is in carats.
Dia in mm
