diamond shopping during the holidays

A friend of mine recommended that I wait until after Valentines day to buy a diamond. She said that it will be difficult to get a good deal during the holidays. Is that true?

I don't think that during the holidays the prices of diamonds go up. I havenot seen it increase dramatically since last year, it has to do with the economy and de beers
(they control the majority of the world's mines).
if you are ready to purchase it now just go ahead and do it ,you'll enjoy it until valentines day and after....
