Hi All. Apologies if this has already been answered but I have a few basic questions on diamond settings. Many of the posts I have looked at cover specific settings.
I am almost certain to buy the diamond I want from WF. In terms of the setting I am undecided whether to buy from them or to ship back to the UK (where I am based). Are there any good places in the Uk to consider for settings, specifically platinum? Does it make much difference if I buy diamond/setting separately?
On the setting itself, aside from personal taste, what are the key points to consider? One thing I am not sure about is how different types of setting or height of setting impact the relationship with how the wedding band sits alongside the engagement ring? Are certain settings better advised depending on the cut of the stone, which in this case is round?
