Diamond Lawsuit Checks being mailed out?

I read this recently, but am still unaware of what type of compensation a consumer would see from this suit? Any experts have an idea?

You're talking about the DeBeers settlement? My understanding is that the average 'damages' is something like $2, and the court has ordered that anything below $10 will round to zero.

Gotta love those lawyers.

Hmmm...all that paperwork and proof of purchase sending and resending for nothing!

I hope mine is worth $11 so I don't get NOTHING. LOL

The store I work for (an Independent 1 store operation) got their check the beginning of the month, but I don't know about individual checks (I didn't file personally).

Was the percentage anything close to what the direct buyers were told they were going to get?

I'm not sure about consumer checks but read that checks are going to take about six months to be mailed out. I did file on the suit because it was posted about here while we could file claims. Will be sure to let you know IF I ever got a check and what percentage it actually was.
