Diamond Earring Help?

Hello,

I've been wearing these earrings for almost two years now, but only after finding pricescope do I wish to learn more about them. I know that they are from Russia and are yellow gold, but what really interests me is the cut of the stone. Perhaps someone with an eye for these things can help me? I'm guessing European cut... but they're very cloudy. I'm approximating about .50tcw.
I asked this in Jewelry Pieces, but it seems that they don't get much traffic. Hope someone here can help me

Without better and clearer photos, its really difficult to tell the cut - although the small table seem to point to an OEC. Have the stones been tested to be diamonds? I ask because they could also be paste, not to mention that you say they are very cloudy.

There's a possibility they're not diamonds, but I don't know how to be sure. At any rate, I wanted to find out what cut they are to replace them with real stones.

If you have a jeweler that you use, you can have your jeweler check them out (both visually, and also using a diamond tester).
