Trying to decide between James Allan and White Flash. Which diamond is better with 18K white gold band?

The way I see it is you have apples to apples except for cost and size. $3,000 more just for .25 mm larger, in a ring tough to see the difference. More of a psychological thing to say the diamond is a carat and a half.

appearance wise is there much of a difference between those sizes?

I'm not an expert but I would have zero issues with a WF ACA. I love the first one!

Given the dimensions of the stone will it face up as a 1.5 carat? From what I have read a 1.5 carat princess should be atleast 6.5mm or it will appear face up like a 1.3. Anyone know anything about that?

No you aren't going to find a well cut 1.5 that hits 6.5. It just doesn't happen. Princesses have to be cut deep for performance.

But still it's off. You are looking at 6.3mm or so for a 1.5ct princess.
