Diamond Brokers?

Simply put I want to feel certain that after dropping 10k on a rock I got the best price. I used the diamond search on this site but I end up needed to go into the reference site to look at pictures. I was hoping that I can feed my range of criteria to someone who can scour the web for me and negotiate a better price. Are there any reputable diamond brokers out there to use? I don’t mind spending money as long as I know it’s a good deal. I would rather spend 10k on something that is worth 20k rather than 5k on something that is worth 2k. When I say “worth” in regards to diamonds I’m not referring to the insurance appraisal but rather the number listed in Rapaport or average wholesale price.I want to have a diamond reseller say "I couldn't even get it at that price"

This is more or less what I would give them

Cut: Excellent Cut, Brilliant Round Solitaire. I read that “Round” may not be the best cut for Natural Canary Yellow Diamonds as it does not bring out the color as well as other cuts. More importantly then the “shape” is that is really sparkles and glimmers.

Color: Fancy Intense/Fancy Vivid. I saw some of the color variations and most seem to be too dark (almost brown) or too faint. The color on the ones from the links below seems to be what I would expect for a yellow diamond

Clarity: F-VS2. I don’t want to see anything or have something affect its sparkle factor.

Carat: ~1

Cost: <10k*. Ideally I would like to spend half that but I have room to move.

Certification: GIA

Setting: Whatever compliments/enhances a yellow diamond the best.

Wouldn't we all? :(sad

Short answer, no. You get what you pay for. The mythical "amazing deal" doesn't exist. There are better prices than others depending on vendor, quality of service, upgrade policies, etc. If you want to spent 10k on a diamond, get realistic about what your 10k will buy you by doing some research here and accept that you have 10k and you're not going to be able to buy something worth 20k.

SO SORRY to disappoint you but Diamonds are the one commodity that you get what you pay for. Diamonds by Lauren. is a reputable colored diamond vendor. But really you will NEVER get $10,000 for $5,000 unless you work or a pawn broker or gold buyer on the street who is looking to rip off people who need money by selling their old diamonds

Spend the money get the best cut diamond for your budget and you'll have no regrets

There is no such thing as a diamond broker. But PS is the next best thing. If you want our help ffinding you a good stone .

Give us the budget size, etc and we will look for you.

Here is another cushion from Leibish http://www.leibish.com/yellow-diamond/110ct-fancy-intense-yellow-radiant-if-98732-16797

I think the budget is low for a 1.00 yellow http://www.leibish.com/yellow-diamond/107ct-fancy-intense-yellow-round-vs1-81186-15062

Please let me know where to find this seller.

The best places to find deals are ebay and auctions, and in order to get a so called "deal" you need to have nerves of steel and know what you are buying.

Ebay is also the best place to get ripped off. Well, not the best place. Best place is a ta "friend of a friend" jeweler, or at someplace claiming to be a diamond whole-seller while selling to the public.

But ebay is definitely the EASIEST place to get ripped off.

If you want safe and a good deal? Pre-owned rings on our Pre-loved forum as safe.

Yes I agree about ebay, & auctions best place to be ripped off and best place to find bargains combined. You will see I did qualify it by saying that you do have to know what you are doing. Having said that there are numerous people touting to be "diamond brokers" that will rip you off in a heartbeat as well....

Anyway the poster should check out Diamonds by Lauren or Lebish;

http://www.leibish.com/

Preloved is a great place to look but fancy coloured non enhanced stones rarely come up on there. First Dibs there are some but they are usually not bargain prices.

There is no cutting corners when buying a decent diamond.
