For our anniversary/christmas, my husband and I discussed getting a diamond band to wear in place of my plain one for nice occasions. But I don't know what would look good. He likes the very ornate engraved kinds like Tacori makes, but I don't know if that would look good with my e-ring unless I got it engraved to match.

I would think just about anything else would look good. I definitely don't want the band any wider than 3mm though, because I don't want too much different of a ratio.

Any suggestions? I don't really want to go custom if I can avoid it, but it is something I would consider if I really liked the design.

Have you looked in person and tried on some bands? I love the look of Tacori, but it took a trip to the mall to discover the style doesn't compliment my hands.

I just went to the mall stores to see if there was anything I liked, and it was all junky looking. The higher-end stores weren't open this weekend to do any real searching though.

I have been regularly killing time in the Forum E-Ring folder and this is one of the bands I really liked. I have no idea where locally I could even try something like this on, but I will be googling for a Saturn Jewels retailer. I would like to think this style maybe would be nice with my band, or there is I think a Tacori version maybe of it? I think I would keep my budget $2000 or less, but I'd spend more if I found a winner. I really like the items at Single Stone but I don't know if they are too antique for my "basic" style e-ring.

Can you post a picture of your ering?? So I can offer suggestions?? :wavey:

I think a more classic style would look good, but it wouldn't hurt to try on different bands to see what you like. I think most eternity bands or 1/2 eternity bands would complement your e-ring really nicely!

I think a shared prong (with round stones) eternity or half-eternity band would look pretty.

Hey bricklayer, I think you should look into the Facets collection for a diamond band. AME has one (a Raphael) to go with her ering, so I'm sure it would be gorgeous with yours. :wink2:

Since you have a solitaire, you can probably try two different styles since you don't like the whole ornate look: a band with a channel setting which would compliment the metal of your e-ring, or a pave-style band which would sit on level with your e-ring and add even more sparkle to your center stone! As mentioned above the best bet is to try different styles on until you find something that suits your liking :twirl:

Thanks everyone! Did I just see someone say that Ame has a Facets band? :read:

I might have to check out what's open this weekend around town. I don't know if I am ok with prong set or not, I don't want to be worrying about losing a diamond! :errrr: I don't really need to rush this though, I have at least a month before I need to make plans. But even if I have to wait til after the holidays that is ok.

I hope she's not offended I am copying her style. I hope she finds it even a little flattering that someone stole her entire look!

I appreciate the input, and the links!

She says she's very flattered! No worries. ;))

That is wonderful to hear! I appreciate knowing that she's not bothered. I don't want to be a bother! I will have to update when I pick a design.

I guess she must see this somehow or someone told her? Why does she not say something? Oh well, she might just be busy with things.

To Ame: :wavey:

Thanks to everyone who spoke up! A lot to try on! :read:

I love all of your suggestions. I don't think I can afford two of those Tiffany bands though! The middle one is nice, it looks blingy without being crazy. I could maybe even forgo the plain band for that most days! Great suggestion!

I know there are company's that make similar style's to Tiffany's without the price tag. How about one of these:

I like those but not like the Tiffany one. I might see about getting a vendor to duplicate that Bezet one you showed. Otherwise maybe we'll just splurge. The Tiffany IS in the budget.
