diamond appraisal in Buffalo NY

Hi All,

I'm doing some research with online shopping for an engagement ring. We are most likely going with Engagement Ring Direct. I have a few questions...

1) We're planning to pick the ring up in Buffalo, NY and want it to get appraised there as well, does anyone have a good appraisal in Buffalo they can recommend?

2) Has anyone experience returning a ring to Engagement Ring Direct or anything online stores? How was the process? I know they offer 30 days return policy but there are things like re-stocking fee, has to be in original packaging, insurance and custom mounting is non-refundable (what is consider custom mounting?)

Mellon, regarding the return policy, I believe it is on their website. And you should always direct inquiries regarding specific policy clarifications to the vendors themselves, not so much to the forum, as the vendors are the best source of this information.

About appraisers, did you look up in the resources tab at the top of the page?

Also the search function of PS can help you find basic information like this as well. If you're not from Buffalo, Williamsville is a suburb and easily accessible from the city and airport (if you have a car)
