First post and thank you to everyone in advance for any help on this. The stone is a round brilliant and proportions/stats from the Sarin report are as follows:

Color - E
Clarity - SI1
Weight - 1.52
Diameter - 7.38
Total Depth - 4.45 mm 60.3%
Pavilion Depth - 3.15mm 42.7%
Pavilion Angle - 40.5
Crown Height - 0.95mm 12.8%
Crown Angle - 31.0
Table Size - 4.25mm 57.6%
Culet - 0.7% Very Small
Girdle Min - 1.8% Sl. Thick
Girdle Max - 3.9% Thick
Girdle Average - 3.1% Thick

I have been told by Whiteflash that the stone is very pretty, but not at the upper eschelon of cuts, i.e. H & A or super ideal range. It does have flourescence, but Whiteflash said that it does not affect the stone at all. The GIA report lists a Very Good for Symmetry and Excellent for polish. The price is excellent, and I am hoping to get some opinions on what to expect. If more information is needed, please let me know. Thanks!

hey 00dmn,

is this a stone that you had wf bring in for you? i recognized the wf photos immediately, but that is not their usual offering as far as cut.

Yes, they brought the stone in to look at for me.

Id pass
The table would look too dark under a lot of light conditions.
I wouldnt be happy with it at all.

i have no idea what to expect with that stone.....there is quite a bit of black in odd places and the symmetry leaves much to be desired.

i had a quick look at some wf stones and found these beauties though...

with either of those, you would not be dissapointed.

Thanks for the replies. I am relatively new to the idealscope photos and am not exactly sure what to be looking out for. Can anyone elaborate on what might be taking away from this stone''s overall performance/beauty?

sorry to say but, with those kind of specs i wouldn''t of call in the stone.

Hi,
This stone has been cut to pass the 1.5 ct mark (a much more expensive $/ct rate than it would have been under that). The cutter has left the girdle thicker just to achieve that. A stone with these proportions should have a girdle average of maximum 2%.
