I just HAD to share this on here (don''t usually post non-diamond stuff but this was so neat) Was just out with my dog at the park. It''s been very foggy here the past week (which is unusual for Vancouver) but today is a lovely warm, sunny day. Must be about 10 or 12 degrees today (sorry no idea what that is in fahrenheit) So I''m at the park waiting for her to do her business when I see a red sparkly glint of light in the grass. I go over to investigate (hey, I found an iPod in the same park, it''s not COMPLETELY out of the question that someone lost a diamond ring there, right? lol) It''s a drop of dew on the grass. I then notice that the whole side of the hill is just refracting like CRAZY. The sun must''ve been at just that perfect angle where it was lighting up all the thousands and thousands of teensy little drops of dew. I stood there for about ten minutes just gaping at this gorgeous display of reds and blues, green, yellow etc. It was amazing! Never seen anything like it....... so it''s official -

I''M ADDICTED TO DIAMONDS NOW - I SEE THEM EVERYWHERE!!!!

There''s another magical thing that happens there too (not today though). The park is on a hill overlooking the river with a bridge and a train bridge. Sometimes in the winter (and ONLY in the winter - it must be an effect from the cold on the metal or something because I''ve never heard it in the summer) when a train goes over the bridge, it makes this beautiful LOUD ringing noise. It sounds EXACTLY like when you have a crystal glass with water in it and you rub your finger slowly around the rim. As the train moves across the bridge, the sound goes up and down (like different glasses with different levels of water in them) It is the coolest thing ever!
