Since I enjoy looking at the beautiful wedding pictures here, thought I''d share mine from our destination wedding in October. We got married in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, on a Monday afternoon, after a weekend spent with our 24 guests, our closest and dearest friends and family.

The day was amazing, the weather was perfect and even though it was about 85 degrees, we did ok with our not so tropical attires

. Everyone had a blast, our guests truly enjoyed getting to know one another, even got one match made between our best man and one of my DH''s friends

. We danced the entire night, enjoyed the food, and marveled at the amazing people we are so lucky to have in our lives.

This was our major wedding after our quickie Vegas wedding last March. Many times during the planning it got so difficult that I was ready to quit but I''m glad we didn''t because it was a perfect day in all respects.

I''m adding a few pictures, we loved our photographer, he was worth the splurge!

Thanks for reading!

Here''s my dress. It took two friends to convince me it was The One, so glad I listened to them!

Here''s my favorite picture of me in the dress.

Our reception room, we absolutely loved the way the room looked, it was remodeled between the time we booked it and the wedding, and it looked so much better!

Our tables, we named them after ballroom dances, waltz, rumba and samba, since we take ballroom classes.

thanks for sharing.

Our cake, it is a Puerto Rican custom that the maid of honor (which is more like a godmother) gives the bride and groom the cake as the wedding gift. We gave her a tiny little picture, she made sure that it was done exactly the way we wanted it and even drove it to the hotel on the wedding day. She was amazing.

My Mom doesn''t dance, so towards the end of the evening when everybody but her was on the dance floor, we did three conga lines around her table to say hi. She loved it and it made for great pictures and video

Finally, pictures of me and hubby taken after the ceremony. The hotel is right on one of the most beautiful streets in the old city, so we just walked around the block and got these done quickly so we could get back to our guests.

Gorgeous pictures! You look amazing!

So in all, it was great. Things I learned include that bustles sometimes don''t stay up, mine went out when my SIL stepped on it while dancing and one of the sweetest memories is hubby, MOH and me outside figuring out how to put it back up. We gave up and I just dragged the train on the dance floor the rest of the night, no worries.

In all the craziness, I didn''t have time to get a manicure, pedicure or facial before the wedding. I was freaking out about this until I realized that it was not going to be the end of the world, and it wasn''t.

I had wanted to spend time with my guests some more, relax at the hotel pool, serve as tour guide, etc, but alas, I spent most of the days leading up to it running errands and trying to keep everybody and everything taken care of. I was disappointed about this because I really envisioned the weekend differently (silly me) but once I came to terms with the fact that I was not there to have a vacation but to get the wedding done, I relaxed a bit. I''ll be back there in a few months for some R&R.

In all, my hubby''s family, who came all the way from Germany, loved everything about the wedding, and I mean everything. They were a pain in the behind during the planning and I was bracing myself for them hating everything but lo and behold they were awed by everything. We were so relieved!

So that''s all. Thanks for reading.
