Mornin'' Skinnies.

I did spinning this morning. Had a hard time getting up, but I''m rather proud of myself since this is 3 weeks in a row that I''ve made it there. We had a different teacher today, and she was AWESOME. It''s amazing how much of a difference a teacher can make, I think I''ll be checking out her Friday class now.

Anyways, I''ve been right on track with my eating this week. Tonight I''m going out to dinner to meet a friend of my BF, so I''ll do my best. I guess I''ll shoot for low carb, at least...the food at this place is to die for!

blue chica: I''m so proud of you...I could never get up extra early and workout in the morning. Perhaps at dinner you could get a salad and an appetizer instead of an entree, or get one the bigger "meal" salads. Just remember...portion control, just b/c its on your plate, doesn''t mean you have to eat it.

Way to go Blue Chica!

I think my 1st go on the arc trainer took a little more out of me than I thought, cause I am exhausted today!! I didn''t go to the gym this am so I''m going to walk for at least a half-hour on my lunch break...and I know its only 11am but no food foul-ups yet today...I really am taking this whole thing one day at a time.

ps- I had a run-in yesterday with a very critical and difficult co-worker and I think that confrontation has really zapped me of my energy. I''m having a hard time letting the whole ugly thing go....

Blue Chica: That''s great! I used to do spinning twice a week when I belonged to a gym. It''s such good exercise!

I am so bad.
I had an appointment with my trainer last night but I canceled. Granted, I didn''t feel great because my acid reflux was acting up, but I could have at least done weights. Bad me, bad me.

I''m going to try to get out of bed tomorrow when the alarm goes off and work out instead of snoozing for another 30 minutes. I''m so much better off when I work out in the mornings...

I need motivation!

On the other hand, some good news: my pants were visibly looser this morning. I could pull my (non-elastic) waistband out two inches without sucking in my stomach! As I told my bf this morning, one pound at a time...

Hey everyone,

Blue: Good work! I''m glad that you have found an amazing teacher. It is going to keep you motivated to keep on going.

Fountain: You go girl! I am sorry about the run in. I had a really nasty scene with my boyfriend''s landlord. She said I wasn''t allowed to visit my boyfriend at his apartment anymore because my name wasn''t on the lease. I told her off. Majorly. She''s been breaking the law with us right and left and I had enough. So I can understand. I''ve told everyone about the situation.

As for me, I''ve been so good. Only 4 pounds from my goal weight. Tomorrow is my birthday so I can be bad if I want to, but in all honestly I''m not even in the mood. I mean do I want to ruin all of my hard work????

Take care everyone!

Have a wonderful birthday ally!

No regular gym workouts yet, but I play indoor soccer on Fridays and at the last game I definitely had more stamina. I have really been concentrating on eatting healthier. Right now I am eatting a fruit cup and yogurt for lunch. [Check that-> "Exotic" Fruit Cup is what is written on the label

] I''ve kept off the weight that I lost when I was sick and also lost another pound or two.

You all are doing amazing!!! Keep up the great work! I am inspired when ever I read the daily workout thread to keep striving to be healthier!!

happy early b-day ally! Sounds to me like your BF''s landlord has a crush on him, b/c that is wierd.

Appletini: Just remember...portion control, just b/c its on your plate, doesn''t mean you have to eat it.

I think I need to write that on my hand or something, or get special forks made with big led lights blinking, because I tend to forget that, even though it''s very true.

FF - I meant to ask the other day, what''s an arc trainer? Sounds like it''s a great little piece of equipment.

Good job taking it one day at a time, that''s really all you have to do...hour by hour if necessary! As for your co-worker, keep in mind that overly critical people are usually very insecure of themselves. It most likely has nothing to do with you.

Ammayernyc - Yes, it''s very tough getting up.

However, I usually find it gets more difficult as the day goes on. If I kind of just get up without thinking about it, I''m at the gym before I''ve had a chance to talk myself out of it. And I''m good at talking myself out of it, so that''s important for me.

Great job on your pants fitting more loosely though, that means you''re doing it right!

Alleycat - Happy Birthday!! Do whatever makes you feel the best on your birthday. No need to overinduldge, nor deprive yourself. Congrats on being so close to your goal! Your boyfriend''s landlord needs to get a grip on reality.

Bueanagirl - Another soccer player, cool.

Indoor is GREAT excercise, I''m not surprised you''re losing weight. Congrats!

bluechica: how are spinning classes? i''ve always wanted to try, but the classes intimidate me.

last night i jumped rope 6 mins (doesn''t sound hard but it is) and did 5 3min rounds of intense boxing drills. my arms felt like lead after. it was short and not so sweet, but at least i''m getting my cardio in. LOL

i wore a tshirt last night that used to be too tight to work out comfortably in and it fit loose last night! it''s weird because i can''t tell the diff visually or on the scale, but my clothes seem to fit better.
