Well just got back my appraisal from D Atlas & Co. Chris actually did the appraisal and said I had and "awesome diamond". He rated it at a VS2 wih a mark on the back side corner of the stone. He also said that it came in as a 1B make. I think I''m going to buy this diamond! Any thoughts from anyone here would be appreciated. Also would you guys trust a local jeweler to set the stone? I found a cheap Tiffany style seting (im out of money) at Jareds and will prolly get it set there. Is this a good idea?

congrates looks like you found a very nice diamond.

Local jewler should be fine to set it.
Even better if they will set it while you wait.
One thing to look out for is that they are actualy doing the work and not farming it out to joe shmoes diamond cracking service.
A lot of the mall type stores dont do their own setting.

Jareds actually has a jeweler on site that you can see and talk to.

He he! Sounds like a nice diamond and good ring-making arangement to me [IMG] Surely there is no match between the opinion of a specialist with the stone in hand and the hunch of a poster from the other side of the screen. Best of luck [IMG]
