Im not able to capture the differences well in photos but thought some of you might be interested in a comparison of a few cz items from Berricle and Nordstrom Rack. This all started because I saw one item I wanted and then tried to make a coordinating set. Most of these are going back....

Ok here we go....

Studs: berricle crown studs 1.68ctw vs berricle swarovski violet cut 1.3ctw

The swarovski violet cut is cute but the cz has a flatter look compared to the berricle studs to me. The crown setting makes the berricle pair look bigger than I expected in the ears. Both are pretty but I didn't like how either looked on me so they are going back.

The nordstrom rack necklace had great reviews and was less expensive but looking at them side by side berricle was the clear winner. Better materials, feels heftier. The berricle has the swarovskis which i dont think are as nice as their other czs, but still looks better than the nordstrom necklace. They both have msrps north of 100 btw, the nordstrom necklace was on clearance for 30 and still not worth it. The stones flip on both. Leaning towards keeping the berricle.

The berricle cz is brighter and has more depth to it, I also like the fairly petite size. The lafonn is not bad but more obviously cz. I like that the chain is adjustable and the halo is delicate and well done for costume jewelry. It's a bit too large to me. Debating keeping the berricle pendant or sending both back.

Berricle halo drop earring on the left, kenneth jay lane on the right. Berricle wins again though these didn't have as bright or realistic of a look compared to the czs in the snowflake necklace. The berricle drops are removeable so the earrings can do double duty as hoops or the dangle can conceivably be worn as a pendant. Debating keeping the berricle, taking the other ones back.

Last one, berricle cluster ring....the first engagement ring i saw and really liked was a chunky floral halo kind of like this but we went with something else in the end. So when I saw this I thought I could scratch the "what if" itch a little.

I was surprised at how realistic this looks irl. The center cz does seem to have a touch of color in indoor light compared to the halo. It's a bit silly since I don't think I'll wear it much but leaning towards keeping this one.

Overall I was impressed by most of the berricle pieces. They are pricier than your typical cz and silver and I think the quality varies but some good finds for travel/stand in/costume jewelry needs. Btw they have 30-40% sales every so often, worth waiting for one.

Bludiva thank you for your comprehensive comparison and about Berricle I agree completely. I own one faux ring and it is by Berricle and it's very lovely IMO. I don't wear it out but I could if I wanted to. I got it just to see if I like emerald cuts on me. Answer is I do.

I have that same Berricle snowflake pendant and I LOVE it. It's perfect to add a lot of sparkle to a jeans and a T-shirt day without being too 'blingy'.

I definitely think there are huge differences in CZ quality from manufacturer to manufacturer. I have this marquise cz ring that I bought from ebay that is just atrocious. It almost looks like plastic because it is so cloudy.

It is gorgeous. Their CZ's are amazingly believable.

i ordered some bands in this last sale in an effort to find one to go with my "fakey" ....i didn't take pics sorry but just as an fyi everything i've seen with small melee sized stones (<2mm) so far from berricle is kind of dull.

i'm going to keep a couple b/c i liked the designs but they don't have the same high quality look to me compared to the bigger pieces, more of a standard cz look.

i tried these below and liked the beaded and curved rings best. the beaded one looks best on its own and the curved one i got to pair with my moissy ring, it has the perfect amount of curvature to wear them together. the bubble ring seemed fine i just didn't like it on, the cable ring looked not refined enough for the design if that makes sense.

Here's the curved band w my moissy ring...it's not so curved that you can't wear it by itself but hugs the ring nicely.
