I remember reading that Customs people watch these boards - anyone know if this is still the case. I would not want to chance them.

Hello Pyramid,
If you have ordered from abroad and are having the jewellery shipped to you, it's pretty hard to get out of paying your taxes, as FedEx and parcel force won't release the parcel to you until taxes are paid (especially if the cost is over £1,000)
If you buy whilst on holiday and come back to the country wearing your jewellery . . . .

Yes I know that about having it sent. I have also read about people going on holiday having to dump the boxes and certificates as they could not bring them into the country in their luggage. It is ofcourse illegal too. I am not buying just now, just wondering what people feel as I have heard that it is too risky. If confiscated when would you get it back etc.
