I found a beautiful antique platinum floral carved wedding band, but by the time I decided to go for it, it was sold! I did however save the pictures of it that show a lot of detail.

Anyone know of a jeweler that does a great job on custom carved bands?

Is there any way you can post pics of the ring nclrgirl?

Sure! Here you go!

That looks like a very common antique pattern. If you look around for online antique jewelry or estate jewelry, you should find bands very similar. You should also check out http://www.circa1930s.com/c30shop/wband6/wband6.htm

This company sells new reconstructions of antique jewelry. Good luck!

That band is very pretty. Is it for a wedding ring? It looks similar to an Orange Blossom design by the Traub company. Sometimes you can find Orange Blossom bands on ebay, but rarely in platinum.

Here is a pic of a similar ring by a company called Van Craeynest . It's style 917 shown in yellow gold, the second one down. I know you can order it in platinum:

ETA: The rings misysu2 posted are cast from molds. The bands I posted are die-struck then hand carved/chased, and are thus arguably more durable and definitely more detailed than casting. I'm a big fan of die-struck jewelry, so I thought I would include that info in case it matters to you too

You''re right! I have seen a lot of similar rings out there, but now that I''ve seen the picture of this one, I want my ring to be exactly the same! Is is possible?

Which ring pic are you referring to? LOL, Love in Bloom is confused (it happens a lot

Oops! That''s my fault for not being clearer! The top-most picture on the thread

I second Van Craeynest. Their stuff is gorgeous!

Thank you everyone for your input! Do you think that Van C. (sorry! forgot how to spell it!) would "tweak" one of his rings to look more like the one that I have pictured? I don''t know if they do that...

Hey guys! Sorry for the bump, but has anyone had a carved wedding band custom made, or do you have pics of your floral pattern carved wedding band?

nclrgirl, I know that the pictures Van Craeynest has on their website are only a tiny fraction of their designs. If you emailed someone at the company, they could probably let you know whether they have something closer to the ring you like. I remember someone posting awhile ago (in RockyTalky, I think) about their trip to the VC office/workshop and they said that the people there were awesome, so I''ll bet the company would be helpful.

Thank you Octavia! I''ll send them an e-mail and see where it goes from there!

Any of you other girls out there want to share pics of your carved wedding bands?

There''s one on Topazery, but I''m not sure if it''s the same one you posted: Orange blossom platinum band.

Another company that makes a lot of die-struck and carved rings is Jabel.

Thanks Selkie! I wasn''t able to view their collection on the Jabel website... Is there a secret?

Hmm, I just tried it myself and it seems to be offline now. It was never the best website to begin with. Jabel sells primarily through B&M stores. You could try contacting the company to locate a retail jeweler in your area who would have the catalog.

Here''s a pic of my carved plat band.

Thanks Selkie! I LOVE your ring! What a beauty!

Since the ring you wanted was from Topazery, have you contacted them to see if they have/can get another? It''s a pretty and unique piece!

You might also try this website: Marlene Harris. They have a lot of antique and antique style wedding bands, many of them carved/engraved. It''s kind of an annoying site to navigate too, but try searching on "floral" on the main page. Here''s a ring similar to the one you posted: Plat floral band 5.25.

Thanks! My e-ring has a matching carved pattern as well. I love ''em!

I was going to suggest the same thing, I knew I had seen a similar reproduction somewhere.

Green Lake Jewelry Works is the first place that came to mind when I saw the title, and I'm certain they could create what you want if you can't find it elsewhere... but since it's a really common design you should be able to find it without going custom.

ETA: whoops, I replied before noticing how old this thread is!!
