Cushion setting: YG or Platinum?

Hello Everyone,

Do you think this setting would look good in yellow gold? If so, should I leave the prongs in platinum?

I have my heart set on a plain yellow gold wedding band but I keep picking out platinum settings for the engagement ring....

That would look lovely in yellow gold with the diamonds in white gold or platinum. It''s a classic look. You could do the prongs in yellow gold if you prefer, but most people would say the diamond will look whiter against white metal.

If you want a yellow gold wedding band, that''s what you should have!

If you want a yg wedding band, I''d make the shank of the e-ring in yg and all of the prongs and bezels in platinum. That way, you maintain the look of the diamonds in platinum but you have the yg shank which allows you to have the yg wedding band.
