Hello All,

Like many others who have posted on pricescope, this site has been a great resource for knowledge/help and has allowed me to feel more comfortable with purchasing online. I had no idea how much detail and spec''s that goes into trying to find such an important piece of jewelry. Im in the beginning stages of diamon searching and ive been researching online and have visited a few local jewelers to get a few visuals.

My first question is on http://www.adiamor.com/ . After reading multiple posts here, ive seen online sellers such as GOG, WF, and NiceIce, but havent seen anything mentioned about adiamor.com. Does anyone have any information on them as far as reputation or positive/negative feedback??

Second question - im interested in a cushion cut and im looking more for quality rather than size. I was wondering if the cushion cut has any ideal spec''s regarding measurements/ratio/table/price etc..Or anything different to look for when tryin to choose one. As an example, I found this stone and I was wanting to get your opinion on the spec''s to see if they are ideal, average, or just way off..

this is from http://engagementringsdirect.com price 2714

Engagementringsdirect is a good start. Call them up...ask for Mark or Gary, and tell them what you are looking for.

As for specs, table should be in mid 50's, depth should be in mid 60's...polish and symmetry should be at least VG. (That's not to say you can't find a beautiful diamond outside of those perimeters)

That's a start.

Most of us on here have gotten our cushions from Mark at engagement rings direct....he'll tell you up front if you can do better and find you a beautiful stone! Good luck!

Oh, and ratio is all about personal preference. A lower ratio will be more square. (1-1.06 or so) 1.07 through say, 1.14 will be more pillow like...and anything above that will be more rectangular.

Also, I can''t tell you anything about adiamor, although I have browsed the site. Maybe someone else can chime in about that. But if you''re looking for a cushion, ERD is the way to go. (I hear nothing but good things about good old gold regarding cushions too though.)

My FI literally just called them up, gave Mark his budget and as low as he wanted to go on color and clarity, and Mark did the rest....and for $1000 UNDER the budget we gave him.

I actually just received my new ring from Adiamor a few weeks ago. Here is the link to the thread. I am very pleased with the service and product. I did a cushion, too. I talked to them on the phone several times about the diamond. I had specific interests in size, ratio, and budget.

Good Luck!
