Hello all,

I first visited pricescope 6 months when I began my search for an internet diamond e-ring.
At that time If asked I would have told you that one of the " 4 c''s " as they apply to diamonds is "carrot". Now after what must be hundreds of sleepless nights reading posts of amazing expert facts and opinions and equally amazing questions from people like myself, I think I have the knowledge to purchase the shiny little earthly memento that will mark the beginning of the rest of my life with the woman I adore. I must thank you all for that. I would like to hear your opinions. Here are the specs for what I am looking at.

Princess Cut
1.14 ct.
5.92 x 5.67 x 3.93
69 depth
68 table
slightly thick girdle
polish & symmetry - EX
vvs2
h color
11.3 crown

Here are my questions and concerns:
First and foremost, will this diamond sparkle?
I know there is not a definite answer for that. Without pavilion angles and all. Or even with them in all reality. But there is there a high potential for some kick, some punch, some rainbows some bling ?

do these dimensions make for a good spread for the weight?

This will be set in a white gold 2.44 mm width eternity like diamond band. my eyes cannot tell my brain the difference between G and H color. Will the H color be noticeable to non- diamond guru types ? I was thinking of mounting the diamond unparallel with the band sort of in a baseball diamond shape. Is this a problem with the dimensions.

It seems lately there is more emphasis on higher than average crown height being essential to princess cuts'' sparkle. Is that the consensus? Would it be advisable to send my diamond first to someone like Mr. Atlas for light analysis or would most of you agree that " If it sparkles you will know" so why bother?

Sometimes I talk in circles and my grammar stinks so I apologize.
Any replies will be appreciated.

Just IMO, "H" doesn't show any color to anyone. VVS is a bit much, but if there is no other stone that matches color, cut and budget and the funky clarity grade doesn't cost more than you'd agree with... why not. There should be no visible difference to VS2. 'Guess you must have read that 100 times around here

I have no reason to say that a higher crown is not a good thing. For once, I like how those look once set - it is nice to see some diamond above those prongs ! If that helps brilliance as well, I can't say. The crown facets add to the glitter of diamonds. Light return is another animal that depends on angles and what not. You could have the seller or an appraiser help determine where exactly this stone stands from that point of view.

Blue Nile (is this the stone?) does not provide pictures or brilliance reports on these stones. Other shops do. How about this ?
