Well, I may have finally found my diamond. It is currently in-transit to Richard Sherwood''s Sarasota Gemological Laboratory. I will be viewing it tomorrow and I can''t wait! It is from USA Certed and I found Martin to be extremely helpful and accomodating. These are the specs for the diamond. I know it''s not alot to go on but opinions anyone?

2.00 ct Marquise
D color
VS2 clarity
63.3 depth
55 table
thin to thick girdle
VG polish
VG symmetry
ft flourescence
13.09x6.59x4.17

Do you think I will be able to notice the faint flourescence?

Hi!

As you said, it''s not a lot of info, but on the paper it sounds promising. Of course numbers don''t mean much when it comes to fancy shapes, but this doesn''t sound like a bad beginning to me

As for the fluorescence, in normal lighting conditions, there is no way you can notice it. If you expose your stone to a UV lamp, you might notice how it turns light blue in a faint way

Pretty much ditto to what Giangi said. Your length to width ratio is 1.99 to 1, so it is an eye pleasing shape, but it''s hard to comment on fancy cuts with numbers only. The depth is pretty good - not overly shallow which can contribute to the bow tie effect. Let us know how it looks when you see it - it''s definitely promising on paper and at a 2 ct D VS2...I''ll take one too!

The faint fluor should only help that D color look even more stunning, and unless you''re under a black light, you won''t notice it.
