BBB quoted me $495 to have my clasp repaired- it doesn''t snap close, service and movement- it hasn''t been serviced ever and it''s maybe 7 years old, and to have it polished like new- Does this seem reasonable or should I send it to Tag''s service centre in New Jersey?
Thanks for any advice

Wow, that sounds like a lot of money. I would check out other watch repair shops. It shouldn't cost that much!!!

If it was me, I''d call the service center directly to see what that fix should cost. If you only need the clasp fixed then perhaps there''s no need for all the other hoopla. They say one should service an automatic watch every 3-5 years but I''m of the mind that if it aint broke, dont mess with it.

Surfgirl,
The service centre won''t give an estimate without first looking at it personally so I would have to mail it to NJ get an estimate and either have them do the repair plus servicing or send it back if I think it''s too much.
