Cool money clip?

I'm thinking of surprising my husband with a money clip but I can't find one I like or that I think he'll like. I want it to be functional and do what it's supposed to do well but I want it to be attractive, too. In a way I'm looking for 2 clips - one for everyday and one for when he's dressed up.

I've already tried or looked at http://www.m-clip.com/ and a few other brands. What I didn't like about the m-clip is that it was difficult to get the $ in and out so it was awkward to use. At the same time I realize there's got to be enough tension to hold the $ so maybe I'm not being realistic.

Any ideas or suggestions?

:wavey: Hello.

My SO refuses to use a wallet, and had money, cards and receipts fall out of his pockets on our first date. He lost $100 right before dinner, in the parking lot. I made sure to buy him a money clip for his first gift, lol.

I didn't buy this particular one, because $215 is ridiculous, but I bought one like this at the Things Remembered engraving store in my local mall. It's nice that it's double sided, and the cards and cash can be kept separate so they don't all fall out when you pull one thing out.

Coincidentally, SO's brother got a money clip that year on the same holiday, as well. His was from T&Co and cost a whole lot more than the one I bought. His brother tried to swap the money clips because he also prefers the double sidedness. His brother doesn't use his clip anymore, and SO still uses his daily.

It was no more than $30, and yes, I got it engraved. I think I spent ~$50 on it, total. I don't remember if I got it engraved at TR, or if I went to a mall kiosk. I shopped around that day, and looked at money clips at all the different stores, and got quotes for engraving at multiple kiosks. I went the cheapest route, whichever that was.

There's one that looks similar. That website has a few, metal and leather+metal.

It's kind of like the As-Seen-On-TV Slim Clip, but I hate how the Slim Clip has a triangle shape clip. It's :knockout:

Ooh, SO's looks exactly like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Money-Clip-...s_Accessories&hash=item3f1bf3bbaf#ht_362wt_63 I engraved the non-stripey-side.

Thanks guys - I am really liking the Barney's one...I am sure it's not "worth" $215! but it is so nice. I really like the thickness of it. Hmmm...I'll have to check out their return policy. It may be worth seeing it in person and then deciding.
