I figure the big boys in the market will love the law. ie: de beers
It will make everyone in the industry even more leary of buying from anyone but them.

If your accused of selling conflict diamonds which sounds more defendable to the average person who knows nothing of the history of the trade:
The rough came from de beers or the rough came from jacks rough diamonds which operates out of a po. box in africa.

There are some other big players besides De Beers now. Their share of the market has been dropping for years and is still taking some serious hits:




ALROSA Sells De Beers 25 Percent Less in 2003





The last I heard, they control about 50% of the market by value.
