Hi,

New to this forum as well as diamonds.

Can I get comments for the diamond below? The bottom part of the arrows don't look perfect, with some triangles spilling out of the arrows. The hearts are also not perfectly symmetrical. Was comparing this to a perfect/ near Perfect H&A in daylight but couldn't tell the difference between these 2.

Should I be overly concerned about its perfection and whether it's FIC or BIC?

In addition, what makes the Tiffany setting such a popular setting? I'm looking to set the diamond on a solitaire ring, so am looking for more information on what to look out for if I want a safe setting.

Might help to list the specs of the diamond. Not sure what's causing the obscuration on the inner arrows at 11 and 12 o'clock. Maybe it's due to an inclusion?

FIC, BIC, TIC are personal preferences that have to do with the crown angle. FIC has more fire and scintillation. BIC has more brilliance and tends to be bigger in size. TIC is inbetween those two so like a happy medium.

I doubt it would be classified as hearts and arrows. Those are the very top cut diamonds. But it could be a nice stone. Give us the specs on it. I usually prefer stones that fall in the smaller box of AGS ideal cut on the HCA.

Here's the cert. I always thought it's a H & A when you can see the hearts and arrows.

Still trying to figure out this diamond

I am not a fan of low crown (13.5%)
