Good explanation from Jet.Date: 8/5/2009 1:06:54 PM

The difference is in the photo set up and lighting. You really can''t compare the color of one IS image to another because of that.
In addition to white, you are looking for variation in the red/pink color--areas in the same image a paler shade than the rest indicates partial leakage, which may or may not be an issue, depending on extent and location. You can see examples of this in the images you posted. The first shows a nice even pink over the whole image. The second has a slightly paler area under the table around 3 o''clock and another from about 10-11 o''clock. Since the difference in color is very slight, it is probably not noticable in real life.
Honestly Jet you have a real talent for this, I have never seen a newer member pick this stuff up so well so quickly, and very importantly be able to explain it in a way which is clear and helpful to consumers. Like I say anyone can sign up and start offering advice here, it is doing it well which is the difficult part and you do a superb job!Date: 8/5/2009 1:22:53 PM

Thanks to all of you for the compliments and education. It is because of the awesome people on PS that I have learned this much. Six months ago I wouldn''t have guessed that diamonds could be so fascinating.
