Hello all,

thought I would just share my small collection of Artcarved weddings bands..Since I purchased a vintage one off ebay a couple months ago and fell in love, I have decided to grab any cute ones that catch my eye. I am not married yet, so I just wear them as RHR''s, stacking rings, on a thin chain, etc.
If I see something else vintage thats really cute I''ll probably buy it, but I''ve bought just AC so far, as I love their styles and are great quality

I have three news ones, and one more is supposed to be in the mail. They''re all 14k gold.
I know its likely boring for some ppl, but I find it a fun and (reasonably) cheap way to feed my addiction, lol..

This first one is kinda the plainest..

shiney..lol

This next one is something I''ve wanted for ages, and I got it for a song..plain YG band with milgrain edges.
It does need resizing though (badly) - or if I''m feeling generous I may keep it large for Fi

Love the A.C milgrain !

And this last one if my new fave..not even sure what to call it, lol..
I wasn''t 100% about it from the pics, but I *love* it IRL.
This band is brand new, and even came with the A.C leather pouch and care/warranty card (not that its much good to me in Oz, lol)..

It fits perfectly on my RH ring finger, and even though its quite heavy (8gms

), it''s sooo comfy I forget I''m wearing it.
I would definately recommend this for a mens'' w-band too.

Hey up, thankyou

They are fun aren''t they? I am infatuated with bands at the moment...I was also considering have a small gem mounted onto one of them, maybe semi-bezel..gotta love options right?
2.gif

The best thing is, I''ve paid ~$150 for the new one, but all the rest were less than $50. Ahh, the thrill of the hunt!

I love ''em! I confess to a wedding band fetish myself, LOL! The simple or carved bands strike a nostalgic chord in me; and seem to be the iconic symbol of marriage.

Love em! I love wedding bands, and I''ve collected several vintage ones--they make me very happy, and definitely feed the fix!! A very romantic thing to collect!

Thankyou everyone for your comments, I''m glad you enjoy them too.

Up - exactly! I have an ethical habit

Jewelerman, I know its a sickness, lol. You Must post pics of your extensive collection of, well, everything! Do you have Paint or some other basic photo program? You just need to resize to under 100kb and give it a unique filename (as in, not "ring"
5.gif
). Please do when you have the time, I would love to seee!

Hi Addy, yes - too easy! It seems I just search on ebay once a week and there''s always something new. You are very welcome to share any pics here if you feel like it..

Hi again SDL - nice to hear you and DH get some time together now. I can imagine in your work that may be a rare luxury? And yes, a lil windowshopping never hurts, right?!

Hey Dandi, Ha thankyou! I know, its hard to choose.

Hello Holly - thankyou Hon. Pls feel free to post pics of yours here too if you wish.

Better, thanks sweets!

I''m going to take some photos soon. Mine are all plat or white gold. I love your yellow gold ones--I''d like some yellow bands and rose gold too! I have too many wants at the moment. Don''tcha love getting packages in the mail? I need more packages!!

Hello and thankyou MC and AG.
MC, I just fell in love with the quality and variety offered by AC. I''m pretty sure once I get married I will choose one to have as my "proper" band...but I''m gonna make sure I''ve got a couple options !

Thats good to hear. Can''t be damaging your pretty bling displayers, now can we?

I''d love to see your pics. I''d also like to own some in white metals, so far just haven''t found much. I also like YG as its not as popular, so the listings seem to not get as much attention..

Oooo, I wonder if AC does RG? uh-oh!

I *love* receiving the packages!
11.gif
There''s nothing better than having a rough day at work, and coming home to a new package of jewellery to cheer you up. The other day I had 2 delivered on the same day, and its usually my Fi who is there to receive them - he was all like "how many b***dy packages can you have in one day!?" (but only in jest of course).
I just have to remind him they''re cheap...Plus it helps that a couple are his size, so I catch him trying them on aswell

I''ll have to photograph the new one later this week.

I just discovered and bookmarked a site to share with you, AJ (and, of course, with the other people who were sharing stackable bands they found on Etsy). Now I am wondering if what I found is this site! I will have to go look!

JAS Rings

This is the website I found. Was this where you were buying your rings? As I look more closely at this thread, I don't think so! So maybe I found you a new source of jewelry ;-).

Here is what Jas Simmons, the website owner, says about the metals he uses:

Metals

The gold alloys I use are 14K yellow, 14K pink, and 14K palladium-white. 14K gold, regardless of color, is 58.5% gold. 14K yellow and pink golds are alloyed with copper, silver and zinc. 14K palladium-white gold is alloyed with copper, silver and palladium. Palladium is a member of the platinum group of metals and therefore gold alloyed with this metal is more expensive. Palladium-white gold is more grey and more yellow than the more usually available white gold, which is alloyed with nickel. The expense of gold has limited how many styles of gold rings I have in stock ready to ship. The gold rings in the "ring sets" section I have in stock but many of the gold rings shown on my home page are made to order. If a gold ring is patterned, I treat the gold surface with iodine before polishing to accentuate the design.

The sterling I use is 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper. Sterling reacts with the environment to form dark grey oxides. I deliberately oxidize my patterned sterling rings with sulfur to accentuate the design. This process will normally continue while the rings are being worn. The grey color will darken down in the design and will often appear on the interior surfaces of the ring. As we live our lives and rub our rings on doorknobs and insides of pockets, the exposed surfaces will remain clear of oxidation.

Hi Deb!
All of my rings were bought from various places on ebay -
but this seller is definately up my alley. What an interesting collection, thankyou for posting this and of course the extra temptation
