cloudy sidestone update

I took my ring to a jeweler to get cleaned today, and all of the issues with sidestone cloudiness went away!

I just don't understand why you can't obtain this clean diamond by yourself?

Did you try with Dawn liquid soap, hot water and child teethbrush?

yes I think the problem is that the gunk is on the underside of the diamond, which is really hard to reach with the toothbrush especially the way it is set.

yes, free I wonder if I should invest in an ultrasonic-would that take care of this problem? it's not really a pain to go to the jeweler every few months though...

I bought an ultrasonic on ebay for 30 with free shipping... it's a no name brand- plug in type with a metal basket inside as opposed to plastic (where the water is held). It does a great job and saves me from the headache of making the 30 min round trip montly- i can clean it weekly or even daily at home
