From searching the old threads, most of the experts on pricescope seem to reccommend a water & ammonia solution to clean a diamond. Todd at NiceIce for example, reccomended 50% water & 50% ammonia. I''ve had excellent results on *loose* stones with that formula.
But is a water\ammonia mix safe for a white gold ring now that the diamond in question has been mounted? Can she leave the entire rhodium plated white gold e-ring in the ammonia mix for 20 minutes (a shower) *every* morning?
I saw one or two reports of people who *claimed* ammonia turned their ring green... Maybe people with white gold rings could chime in!
Thanks! ~JES
