Cleaning behind bezels--can you even clean behind this?

Do bezels ever get dirt behind them? Is it possible to clean behind this type of setting? I do love how flat the back is, but its entirely closed, which makes me wonder about how whether or not dirt might catch behind the bezel. What do you think?

I've never owned anything that closed before. I would be worried about bit of dirt and grime getting behind too.

Have you seen them in person?

Bezeled stones do get crud/dirt buildup over time but those I've seen were all rings. I don't know how common it is with earrings, since the culprit tends to be hand lotion.

My studs get filthy. I imagine that it'd get grime in there, but it's so closed, it's hard to tell without trying, you know?
