Changing the ring setting?!!

I wanted to know if there was a possibility to alter my existing three stone platinum setting so there is platinum strip separating them apart, not so close to each other. I feel that the current setting really detracts from the shape of the center pear because the trillants are right beside the center stone... Please help!

There usually is not any metal between the center diamond and the side trilliants. I am pretty sure that if you want those platinum stips, you are going to have to spring for a whole new custom made setting. You might want to look at your ring in a different light and be happy.
