Looking for an untreated cornflower/velvety blue Ceylon sapphire about 1.75-2.0 carats to make into a ring with small diamonds. Does anyone know where I can find an online wholesaler to look at sapphires?

Do you mean retailer? Unless you are trade, you will not have access to wholesalers. And a retailer that masquerades as a wholesaler is even worse...

Ok, that's fine I just thought someone would know a wholesaler since I know retail charges so much more. Regardless, I'd like a reputable place to purchase a sapphire and have made into a ring.

No reputable gem vendor would print or utter the term, wholesale.

If they lie about this, what else are they lying about?

When they do use the W-word, I stop looking at their goods, and move on to sellers who might actually be reputable.

On this forum I've learned of retailers that will also sell to another retailer, but at wholesale prices.
But you can bet your bippy that will only happen when the seller can verify that buyer truly is a legit retailer.
