D317CA65-1D84-458E-A4CE-4F4107377BC8.png I’m considering purchasing an antique ring circa 1915 and my main concern is that the GIA report notes a cavity on the diamond. From my own research it seems that cavities are generally ok if they are small and not located under the table. The diamond is also graded as a VS2 clarity, which I read also suggests the cavity is minor. However, I’m not a gemologist and was hoping someone here might have some insight? I’ve attached a picture of the report and am mostly concerned about the structural stability of the diamond, not necessarily appearance. When I saw the ring in person, I didn’t notice the cavity with my eye but also wasn’t looking for it.
