Catmom, can ask you about your yellow halo?

Hi Catmom,

I hope you don't mind, but I noticed in older posts that you used to have a yellow diamond halo. I am interested in getting my diamond (in my avatar) reset into a similar setting, and I was wondering, why did you sell it?

Hi Preg,

Thank you for asking about my setting. I do still have it and have a pink spinel currently set in it. I call it my lemonade ring.

It was a custom halo w/FY diamonds put on a stock setting and while I love the FY halo the diamonds in the stock setting are not that great and after a while it started to bug me. The center stone is an AGS 0, ISEE2 diamond and hubby and I both thought it deserved a much nicer setting. I guess I could have upgraded the diamonds in the setting but instead we went with something different. If the diamonds in the stock setting had been better I'm sure I would have kept the ring as it was. Hmm, now you're making me want to upgrade the stones and put another diamond in there. I've been thinking that I need a RHR with yellow diamonds to go with my ER. Gah, my husband will kill me, lol. I can't wait to see what you come up with. I do love the look of a white diamond surrounded by yellow.

Thanks, Catmom. I like the ring with the pink spinel. It looks like a fancy pink diamond to me.

It never occurred to me to take a stock setting and ask that the halo be replaced with yellow diamonds. Hmm, maybe that would be a less expensive way to go than full custom. You have me thinking.
