We don't have a Cartier store where I live, so I have to travel across to the mainland to purchase my ring for our 30th anniversary. Does anyone know if the Cartier stores keep a range of sizes in the Trinity 1.5mm ring ? If not, do you think they will get a range of sizes in for me to try ? I have contacted the store I propose going to with this question. Meanwhile I thought I would post my question here too. :appl:

Thanks.

Hey, I just got one of these yesterday! They've apparently been discontinued, but they're still happily selling the ones left in stock. My suggestion would be to call ahead and tell them what your size usually is: I believe they will call in rings, but I'm not sure if the policy is universal. When you say mainland ... which continent?

Thanks Circe. I phoned and they can still get them, although it may be ones left in stock from other stores. Cartier told me they don't call a few sizes in but will size me when I visit the store, I pay a deposit and they will get one in in my size and mail it to me, after which I pay the balance. North America.
Did you get a larger size or smaller than your usual finger size?

I got an 8, on the logic that I wanted to have as much flexibility as possible, and they go down by two sizes if you flip one of the rings so they don't lie smoothly. I usually go between a 5.5 on the left ring finger up to a tight 8 on my right thumb.

It fits perfectly as a spacer between my big eternity and my anniversary ring on my right ring finger, loosely on the right middle, well on the right fore-finger, and tight on the right thumb: perfectly on the left thumb and loosely on the right fore-finger and middle finger, too loosely unless I flip the one ring on my left ring finger, stacked. Basically, it's only the pinkies that are out! Since I'm hoping to have another kiddo, I figure I'll need the flexibility. :loopy:

I normally wear between an 8- 8.5 on my left wedding ring finger and the same on my right, not sure what size I would need for the Trinity. Do you find it comfortable to wear ? I'm thinking I should go and get sized sooner rather than later if they are not making them anymore.

I think - at least at this width! - that it runs pretty true to size. I usually wear an 8 on my thumb, and that's what I had it sized for ... the convenience of it fitting on my other fingers is a bonus.

ETA: But, yes, definitely sooner rather than later! My saleslady looked deeply skeptical as to whether they'd have any given size, and this was at the flagship store.

I  LOVE  mine! I got it in October, I think, and I love it! I am a fiddler, as in my original e-ring has been dropped so many times that I'm surprised that I haven't cracked the diamond or lost the ring entirely! I love it because it is super comfortable, easy to play with, and looks great! I'm a stacker so I wear mine with my 2mm eternity and have sized mine accordingly. I have a 56 which is perfect for me! :D

I own the 1.5mm and was just in Cartier last week. I asked about the availability of this size and she said that they can get them in from other stores (the one I was at didn't have any of this width in).

Mine is true to size, though I only wear it on my ring fingers. I wear a 3.5-3.75 and the ring is a 46, which I think is about a 3.75.

Like Circe, I recently got the same ring.

When I called, I was told they still carry them, just not on their website. I know the 5th ave. store in NY has them in various sizes.

Mine is a 56 (7.5) and it does run true to size at this width. I like my rings loose, especially for stacking and it's perfect.
I also use it as a spacer between my pave eternity and e-ring. It breaks it up nicely.

If you get your finger sized (i would do it a few times to be positive), you can call Cartier and they'll tell you what store carries your size.

eta: Kinda funny how many of us got it recently. Is Cartier having a price increase that I'm not aware of?? Lol..

It makes me sad they don't sell this in all platinum.

I know for me it was the news they were being discontinued along with it being a fitting milestone. FWIW, my sales lady at the NYC 5th Ave location said they definitely weren't being manufactured anymore.

I first saw them over the summer in the 5th ave store but didn't get it until a few weeks ago because that's what I read here, that they were being discontinued- and I've always wanted the ring.
When I called, their "ambassador" told me they're still being sold in the boutiques, just not online.
They need to get their stories straight..

Thanks all.

I have been in contact with two Cartier "ambassador's" and also spoke yesterday to a sales associate at my nearest Cartier store and nothing has been mentioned about the 1.5mm being discontinued. I too to wish I could get a definitive answer either way. My fear is, that I will travel over to the mainland, get sized, pay a deposit and then they tell me they cannot find my size. That would be a very expensive trip over, not to mention the disappointment.
