Cartier Tank Ring design

What do u think about cartier tank ring design for my princess?

After looking at many ring designs, i decided to go with a simple contemporary design. The only think i don''t like is how the metal seems to swallow the stone.

I want to achieve this look, but then i want to show the diamond off a little more.

Any suggestions? Or do you think i should stick with my original idea?

I would love this ring....for my husband, not for me. Sorry, but it just looks more like a man''s ring with the thick band.

is your diamond currently in a temporary setting? it looks quite beautiful from your avatar

perhaps it won''t be quite as thick depending on the dimensions of your princess, have you tried on similar rings? i saw a similar setting in a round and i love the versatility of it, she wears it everywhere! i take mine off all the time

Cindygenit, my coworker has a Tank ring and it''s bigger than most rings you see but it''s very sleek, modern, and kind of a "tough chick" feminine, appropriate for a ring named the "tank"!

I do see what you mean about there being a lot of metal around the stone, perhaps you could consider a tension setting for it to expose more of the diamond? Something like this? Many sites offer a version of a tension setting.

Or perhaps a half-bezel like this? With a princess, of course.

My stone is actually quite small, the ring would not be as big the cartier. But the same style.
