Cartier Love bracelet

Hi everyone,

I've fallen in love with the Cartier Love bracelet and absolutely want one.

However, I have difficulty deciding between the plain RG and the RG with semi precious stones

Which one do you prefer and why? Also, do you think that the semi precious one is suitable for 24/7 wear (the Love bracelets are screwed on the wrist and are not meant to be taken off)? I' m a bit concerned about the durability of the gemstones.

Hey Sunshine!

I have the cartier love that is WG with diamonds. AND I LOVE MINE!!!!! FYI all the bracelets are meant for 24/7 wear. You can actually wear down the screw system (yours will be the new screw system when purchasing online) if you take it on and off. So once it is on- try to keep it that way. I would probably not go with the Love with semi precious stones just because I think it is a little less classic then the plain one. But that is just my personal taste. I don't believe there will be any issues with durability with the semi preicious stones at all. I tried on both bracelets at the Cartier store at the Spanish Steps in June. Both were gorgeous...I think Cartier has the most beautiful RG I have EVER seen so I really dont' think you can go wrong either way. I half way debated the RG version with diamonds but in the end I just wanted to do something similar, understated and classic. However, I'm trying to nudge DH into another plain version of either RG or YG. I love the stacked look of 2.

Let me know what you decide!

EDIT- I just wanted to add that if you do a search on the Cartier Love it seems alot of people have trouble with the new screw system. I have noticed that occasionally mine do come a little loose (rotate 1/4 round) but I just tighten it up with my thumb nail. I doubt it would ever be loose enought to actually fall off. However, lots of people dont' seem to double check theres. If you do get the RG and have issues with it you can call Cartier and within one year they will give you a new one. But like I said...i love the new screw system and have no issues. With the old screw system it was $400 to replace a screw...so at least the new system you cant lose one!

I got mine the first week of June and have been wearing it since...it is probably time I clean it (kit comes with the bracelet). And yes I did try on the semi precious version in Italy when I was there. Like I said it was very pretty, but a little too much for my taste. I like things to be more understated and classic for something I wear everyday. But once again that is just me. When I was there the sales girl had a WG semi precious version mixed with a plain YG it was a devine mix. Loved the look of both together.

I'd vote plain. I saw them in the display case last night when I tried on the trinity rolling rings in different sizes... They are gorgeous! I was just drawn to the classic simplicity of the unadorned one more! If I'd known I would have taken pics for you, but if I go back in now, they'll think I want to make a purchase!

I'll only go in if the same people aren't working! But I'll try my best for you....RG? With and without stones? I can't buy the trinity ring right now but maybe I'll go w the line that DH also likes the bracelets... Hmmm. May work!

And if not, you have a good excuse In the end, you are a potential customer and all the pieces of jewellery there are big ticket items - so nothing wrong with looking at them more than once.

I'm in Las Vegas right now so that's why the plethora of bling options available to me! Where I live, there is no Cartier store!

sunshine! Tried on the RG plain classic love for you and the 4 diamond one as well. They did not have the multi colour gemstone (sapphire) one in stock. My camera battery died so I am charging it then I can upload the pics or you. It is much heavier tHan I expected! The pricing was $5575 plain, and $9350 for the four diamond one. And I also tried on a few more trinity rings when I was there too! Man, they are gorgeous!

Top two are the plain RG love bracelet and bottom two have 4 diamonds -2 top and 2 bottom. I was sized at an 18 wrist but the diamond is a size 17, they had just sold the 18 as I walked in! I think I look extra puffy in these pics! I must bloat in the desert.

They did not have it at that store ( the Wynn ) but they had a ring only. Yellow, pink, purple, green, blue and orange sapphires on it. I'm sorry... I did not take a pick of the ring

Oh definitely! I did like it, but when I learned the cost, if it were me, for that money, I would want to go w the classic iconic design. You loose the lock look when they replace it with stones... But that's just me!

Big ditto! The plain or diamonds would go with everything and I would not like the multicolor stones for a bracelet worn all the time.

I've seen them on Dover and Israelie Rose for less, but not signficantly. I bought mine overseas so with the VAT refund I actually ended up saving about 1k off US prices.
