I think I am driving myself and everyone around me crazy!

Here''s the scoop -- I was going to have my 1.5ct round reset into a 3 stone ring. I debated between getting round side stones and pear side stones. After seeing both, I like the pear side stones better.

Thought all was great until I was going through the "Show me your eternity ring sets" thread. It has totally made me question what I was going to do!

I have a 0.75 tcwt 5 stone round diamond wedding band. I''m not sure why it never dawned on me to get the matching semi-mount for it. After seeing all the eternity sets, it makes me think that''s the way to go instead of the 3 stone ring (even though my ring is not an eternity one, not much gold shows on the sides of the diamonds).

The only picture I could find that was close to my set was Maxine''s although my side stones are bigger b/c there are only 5 total.

Please help me think this through!

Here''s a picture of Flopkin''s ring (round w/pears).

I can''t decide!!!! This is literally keeping me up at night!

Hi Jellybean!

Here are my thoughts on your situation. You have a nice and big 1.5 stone that can hold it's own and would look great on a band like the one you pictured. I would have one made to match your 5 stone and put your center in the middle. I would guess you would need 4 rounds (2 on either side) with your 1.5 to be the same spread as your 5 stone??

I have a 3 stone ring using all rounds and wear this with a shared prong eternity band. The reason I wanted a 3 stone is my center is 1.12 and I really wanted more bling. If I had a larger center stone I probably would have gone with a different mounting, something similar to what you are thinking of doing! Keep us posted on what you decide and be sure to post photos of the final product

oh jellybean!

will you wear a band with the 3stone? do you want to wear 2 rings?
maybe you should make a list of pro''s and con''s for each....

How about some pics of this five stone ring??

My stones are like 5.5 pts each.....about .4 cts on each band....(6stones on ering and 7 on w/ring)....but they match up perfectly on sides.....that is nice...

To answer some questions:

I would wear the 3 stone as a stand alone ring, although I think it too would look nice with the diamond band if I''m going somewhere fancy.

My diamond band has 5x 0.15ct rounds. The matching semi mount has 4x 0.15ct for a total of 0.6ct. They match up very well.

I used to think I only wanted to wear one ring, but I had the 1.5ct in a stand-alone setting before and it did get tiresome when people would ask if that was my e-ring or wedding ring. That is why I had it set in the solitaire in the attched pic. The solitaire setting is really cheap -- it is totally scratched up from my band and the edges aren''t rounded.

It is more comfortable for me to wear just one ring, however my band is pretty comfortable.

Here''s a close pic of the band.

I like the last combination...I had also thought about a "stand alone" ring......something to wear by itself....there are so many nice options!! I like the split shank look, too!!

Oops . . . I replied to the wrong post. Sorry . . . by the way, both options are dreamy!

I love both options but I am an eternity style type girl at heart...love the stones with the bling bling, however I think your solitaire looks fabulous with your 5 stone as well.

In the end go with whatever you think you will be happiest with long term unless you plan to change the setting out again later or do something different.
