Can't Find A Thread - Bezel Studs w/ IDJ Jackets

Hi all!

I'm talking to the great people at IDJ about getting some bezel studs made up for my IDJ jackets. The jackets are made for 5 mm prong-set stones, but because I'm interested in bezeling them, the TCW will be lower to allow them to still fit in the jackets.

I KNOW I saw ONE thread here where some other poster did the exact same thing - and they were specifically the IDJ jackets. I've been searching for that thread for over an hour now, with no luck. I've seen several threads with Whiteflash or BGD jackets, but I'm looking for the one in particular that had the IDJ 3 pointer jackets. If anyone knows the thread I'm talking about, or knows who that poster was, please tell me! I mentioned that I'd seen this combo once before when I was on the phone with IDJ, and they were super-interested in looking at it too for future reference, because they haven't had very many requests for bezel studs to put in their jackets.

The poster I'm thinking of had the bezel studs made by, I believe, BGD, and they sent BGD their ID jackets so that Brian and Lesley could best fit the two components together. Ring any bells for anyone??

Thanks, Jax, but I don't see them there? I see one set that has BGD-made jackets, not the scalloped-edge IDJ ones?

I recently purchased a pair of .40ctw bezeled studs from IDJ. I was interested in the jackets and Luann sent me a pic of them in the jackets for .50ctw studs. I thought the jackets were too small. She said that when I was ready to buy she would get the setting I bought and send pics in other size jackets. Call her and have her put bezeled settings in your size jackets and take pics at all angles. That way you know just the size diamonds that you need to have bezeled for the perfect fit. I love my IDJ earrings. The diamonds are white and sparkly and the bezels are perfect!
 
Nonie - can you please post the picture? I have bezel studs from IDJ and have been wondering how they would look in jackets. :wavey:
 
The site won't upload my photos. It's done that before so I will wait a bit and try again. I tried a photo I've uploaded before and that didn't work either. Does anyone know where drafts are saved? I saved everything I wrote and now can't find it. :confused:
 
Ok, I was able to attach a couple photos. This is my .20 bezeled diamond in 3pt IDJ jackets for a .25 prong set diamond. As you can see, they look fantastic from the top but too high from the side.

NonieMarie, I think that looks smashing from both views! Looks like a gorgeous fit! And I'm pleasantly surprised at how much I like the bezel and jacket together.
 
YAY, thank you NonieMarie - those are beautiful! I actually think it looks just fine with the bezel sitting just a bit above the jackets :)

Yekeutiel (I probably murdered the spelling of his name; if so, I apologize!!) was so, SO nice to chat with on the phone, just a lovely person and so helpful! He took some pics of my jackets with a bezel finding for a .40 carat diamond, and it looked perfect.

So on Monday, he'll hopefully be calling me with a quote for a pair of 0.80 ctw bezel earrings! So excited! On a side note, earlier today I brought my ID jackets into a locally-owned jewelry store that is known for their high quality + having a vast selection of colored stones (I was looking for jacket-fillers in various colors), and holy schmoly, did they outshine just about every other melee in the store! They were on fire! I think even the sales staff was a little taken aback by how gorgeous they were :)
