There are so many camera experts on PS that I thought this would be a great place to ask. I''m buying my first DSLR and I''m looking for a good one that will last for 5+ years for $700 or less, preferably in the $500-600 range, with at least 10 MP. My top choice so far is the Canon Rebel XS, but I couldn''t tell if the Nikon D60 was better. They sounded very comparable to me. I will probably eventually buy another lens, probably the 28-135mm one.
Is the Canon Rebel XS a good choice? I''m not trying to start a Canon vs. Nikon general debate--I''d just like to find out if this specific model is good, or if I should go with the Nikon D60.
