Is it possible to buff out milgraining on a ring?

In time, it will wear away to a large extent anyway. It may hurt the detailed elements of the item to buff it away all at once. It would be like having a lot of premature wear take place all at once. Is the problem localized or all over the item?

Thanks David! It's a bezel eternity band from Beverley K and each bezel has milgraining. I love the milgraining but have been thinking of having the milgrain removed. But I also don't want to ruin a gorgeous ring!

Feb, *gasp* I cannot believe you would want to do such a thing ;)) Do you own the ring or ordering it? If you haven't bought it yet you can get it w/o milgraining from bev k.

LOL Tacori! I've decided not to do it. I adore the ring (I own it) and don't want to alter it in a way that could hurt it! Seeing the new BGD diamond and sapphire bands that were posted in SMTB made me think it may look better without the milgrain. But, it's gorgeous the way that it is!

plus it will "mellow" over time as it wears. you may have to look hard to even see it as time passes

I am selfishly relieved! Haha. Bev K's milgrain is soooo fine. If you ever order another keep in mind they can do any customizations. They were so kind and helpful when I spoke to a rep there.
