Can someone recommend an independent appraiser in Las Vegas?

I saw Isadore M. Greenberg recommended but when I called I found out that he is retired. I'm buying a ring from a seller in Las Vegas. The seller doesn't want to lose possession of the ring without the money (even if it is a third party) and I don't want to send the money until I have it checked out. I have checked out the seller and the seller is legitimate. I'm mostly concerned about chips/scratches that I might not see in the photos. Does anyone have a recommendation for someone that can inspect the ring in Las Vegas?

You might take a look at the website of the National Assn. of Jewelry Appraisers: najaappraisers.com
They are a well-established trade organization of credentialed appraisers. You can search the site by state; they listed several in LV when I looked just now.

I was in a similar situation (no PS-listed appraiser nearby) and found an independent appraiser through their website and was very pleased with the referral.
