Most white gold is rhodium plated, so its whiteness is the same regardless of purity. There are some newer WG alloys that are pretty white without being plated.Date: 1/10/2008 6:25:26 PM

O.K., so 18K yellow gold is a deeper gold than 14K yellow, right?
So, why would one want to use 18K yellow (instead of 14K yellow) and then have to add even more other alloys (more than you''d add in 14K) to bring it to a white color?
Does not make sense. No?
