What scares me is the medium blue fluorescence... :?... I've been searching for none to faint all this time to be honest.
The dealer has said it is eye clean, but I will make sure of that if I pursue it.

And for what it's worth if this impacts your advising, the price would be $11,355

Medium blue will not show much except under blacklight (like rides at Disneyland and at clubs -- my favorite places ;) ). The numbers look good!

I did a search for you, and the price is about $1k higher than I thought it would be, based on the comparators on the PS search engine. However, if it truly is as well cut as the numbers indicate, it may be worth the premium.

Yeah, if I'm going by cut grades, then it does stand out above a search on PS....

I read up on PS article on fluorescence and can't really determine if I like it or not. I know I'll never really see it except in a night club or wherever black lights are, but how terrible looking would that really be?

Do you have the crown/pavillon angles?

Fluorescence is a personal preference but medium blue should make G looks whiter!

I believe these are right... I'm trying to post the image of the AGS but I think it's too big

crown angle: 34.7
pavilion angle: 40.7

If I put these numbers in, the HCA is a 1.1...... shouldn't it be the same as when I put in the %s?

There's the image of the stone in the AGS Certificate.

numbers are 'nice'. Do you have images, or have you seen the stone in-person and what do you think?

angles/percents will give different results, angles are more accurate - it calculates angles from inputted percents.

I have not seen the stone in person. It's really in the beginning stages. My vendor informed me about it and asked if I were interested. I am, so I'm going to have her personally see if it is eye clean. Although, it is through a vendor and she's saying "she has spoken to the manufacturer, and it is eye clean".... so it must not be in-house.

I'll request more images as well of the actual diamond.

All in all, the price seems reasonable.... thoughts on that?

Here's the other light performance image on the AGS certificate. Crappy quality but maybe it'll point something out I'm not aware of.

AGS' is simulation of ray tracing through the virtual stone - vs vendor photograph of a single static image from one angle

Looks fine

They'll need to bring the diamond in-house for further examination in which they'll send me pictures of the diamond itself, ASET, and Sarin Report.

I'm unfamiliar with those by name, but I'm sure they're images I see regularly during my search?

I'll post them then.... and I'm assuming they'll need my credit card or something to bring the diamond in-house.

specs looks good.mine kind of stone... :appl:

So, what's the general consensus on medium fluorescence?

I did ask the dealer about it and they said:

"I noticed the fluorescence and actually had the vendor take a look at the stone for me personally and he confirmed that there are no negative effects of the fluorescence. GIA actually did a study on fluorescence and actually found that medium and below do not have the negative effect that you can sometimes get with strong blue. If it was an ill performing diamond, I would have never suggested it to you. I trust the word of the vendor as he knows if it's not as represented we would send it back immediately so I definitely think it is something to seriously consider. "

Other than that, I REALLY like the specs of this rock and the fact that I've read a lot about medium fluorescence actually making the diamond appear whiter? What gives???

We are purchasing a diamond with strong flourescence, and I too was initially very worried about it's effects on the look of the stone, especially in bright sunlight. After getting input from several PS'ers an doing A LOT (can we say obsessive?) research, I don't think you have any reason to worry about medium floro. In the RARE (2% or so from what I've read) instance that it has a negative effect, it usually happens with the Very Strong or Extreme floro, which can produce a milkiness or oiliness in the diamond. My guess is that the medium would only make your stone look a bit whiter, and that you would never even notice it except under a blacklight.

Found the link to a video GOG sent me illustrating Strong Floro-- keep in mind that your stone is only rated as medium.

I have a medium fluorescence E color, when I put it beside a non fluorescence F, I see no different, just a little bit more blue fire but I'm not sure it is because of the fluorescence or because of different cut (mine is 57T/60.7D/34.5C/41P while the other is 55T/61.7D/34.5C/40.8P). You shouldn't be worry about that MBF.

As long at the flouro doesnt affect the sparkle or performance of the stone, I dont think it's an issue. Again- it's a personal preference so it's something you need to read up on and decide for yourself.

I think the images and numbers look great- it's just how you feel re: flouro.
