Can I see your .40ct - .80ct pics?

Hey everyone!

Thanks for everyones help on my first post here....and now for my second!

I have been looking at the Eye Candy Folder for pics of different ct sizes....but I want to make sure I didn''t miss any (I''ve gone thru half already! haha!)

I would love to see everyones pics of their ring on their hand with anything between .40ct and .80ct, just so I can get a better idea of what I want in my tension ring! I''ve been to shops already, but my mind is so hazy from the excitment of it all....!

I saw a tension ring at one store here with a diamond of about .40ct and it seemed so large to me.
Would love to have you ladies and gents post those sizes here....even better if round and in a tension setting

Also....what would someone say the ct size is of the diamond in the pic below, just by looking?

That ring is going to be gorgeous. I''m a novice, but it looks like the carat weight in that ring looks like a .35-.4 ct. Hard to say because it looks enlarged... your ring size isn''t that big, is it? I think it''ll look plenty big in a tension setting.

That''s probably a good guess on the pic, I was thinking .40 or .50. The one I saw looked similar and it was a .40!
I believe my ring size is 6....and I have long fingers!
And yes, diamonds seem sooo much bigger in tension settings....it''s crazy.

When I first saw them in pictures online, I thought they were neat, but never thought I''d ever even look at them. Bryan wasn''t into it either. But as soon as we saw one at the shop and tried it on my hand, we kinda looked at eachother and went: Ohhhhhhh!!!!

It''s a far cry from the ring I had wanted previously....so that''s pretty funny. I guess you never know until you try/see them!

I think a .4-.5 diamond will look great in a tension setting. They are very beautiful and definitely make the diamond look bigger. My friend has a tension setting with a .3 and it looks very nice on her hand. I especially love the bypass tension settings, they are so unique and a bit more feminine than other tension designs.

My ring size is a tiny 4 1/2. Wot do u think will b a gd size of diamond for me?
I''m concerned abt the size ''cos i''m getting a solitaire half-bezel set in white gold. Wondering if a 0.5 carat will b too big. I won''t want the band to be so thick that it overpowers my finger.

A 4 - 5mm band already looks pretty substantial on my finger.

Oh, by the way, what i have in mind will probably be an eye-clean SI stone.
Not sure what colour to go for tho. How low in colour can i go for, such that the stone will still look quite white from the top?
Is J or K too low? I was intially contemplating an H, but i read in other threads that J and K can actually looks pretty white from the top too, so now i''m not sure...

My ring size is also 4.5 and I wear a 1.72 EC

on a 6mm band I think .5 ct would look great (not too large at all) on your finger size.

The 0.5 carat looks SO big, now i''m not sure whether i want such a big stone. LOL. I think it''ll make my fingers look even shorter than they already are. I have typical small asian hands.

Yeah, I think ''smaller'' diamonds look gigantic in this type of setting. I could probably get away with a smaller stone easy. I like smaller stones anyhoo!
