Hello

I was wondering if I could get some input on this stone, and does the price seem reasonable.

http://www.whiteflash.com/round/Round-cut-diamond-1857051.htm

Round 1.16 G SI1
depth 59.6
table 59
crown angle 33.5
pavillion angle 40.8

scores a 1.2 on the HCA

also it says it has faint flourescence, does that mean its going to be discolored?

Thanks for the help

Probably will be very nice if you like the look of the 60/60 stones. Whiteflash can get it in house and then evaluate it for you, which is probably a good idea. They'll be honest.

Fluor won't affect this diamond, it needs to be strong to even be noticed most times.

Im not really sure what it would look like being a almost 60 table and depth, does it look different or perform any differently? I''m still a newby when it comes to diamonds, though i have learned a lot this past few weeks.

Ditto Neat. This page on 60 60 diamonds might help also.

Some really like the look of 60 60 diamonds, apparently they can be quite brilliant diamonds which can sometimes have a ' larger' look for the weight due to the bigger table. Depending on the angle ranges they can be excellent diamonds.

You might like something like this one. It''s in-house and get''s the WF rating of Expert Selection, which means it isn''t as pricey and perfect as their ACAs, but still will be a beautiful stone. It has an inclusion right in the center, which WF could tell you how visible it is.

Nothing wrong with your pick except that it''s not in-house and hasn''t been looked at by WF.

Thanks for the info, I saw the two extreme pics of the 60/60 but the others on the bottom really didnt look bad, do you think this will be a nice stone that will preform well or do you think I should try to find a better one?

It really is a personal preference. I don't like the bigger table personally...I prefer a smaller table. But it really is a personal preference.

ETA: I should clarify that I prefer a smaller table because usually a bigger table results in more white light return and less fire and I like fire.

I think going by the numbers it is worth further investigation. Thats a nice diamond Swing linked, if it is eyeclean then definitely worth consideration.
