Hey guys! I know you guys have Smarts (or Musey, I think yours is on order) and I was wondering which models you have? Did you add anything on to your model? DH and I are still thinking hard about one, and I am trying to decide what all we need in one! Also....what colors did you get? Not crucial info, but fun!

BTW Musey, thanks for pointing me to that Smart forum, I already picked up some good info there!

Hi mischka!

Mine's pretty basic. Passion with added alarm system and power steering. Blue with silver. I'm still not crazy about their blue, but it's my fave of the options available... I sure wish it were the mini cooper blue, though!! We just configured our own on the website to figure out what we wanted, then went in to see which orphans most closely matched.

Waiting to hear from the dealer, it's supposed to come in today or tomorrow... then a day to add the alarm... I should be in it by Monday, hopefully!

What color are you thinking of?

Ohh do you have it yet?

I was originally just going for the Pure, but now I am thinking about sacrificing a color upgrade for the additional features of the Passion...maybe just get the white?

I do like that blue a lot. I need to get to the dealership ASAP to check out all the options. Its about an hour away, so right now I am just web-stalking them! That panoramic roof...I think it''s calling my name

I would love to see some pics when you ladies get one. It seems like a great solution for in-town travel [especially with the ridiculous corners you have to take in our in-town condo''s garage!

Thanks!

Hello ladies :)

My little smartie is almost 2 years old now. I had one of the very first ones that came on a shipment to america. I have over 20,000 miles on it already and I have had NO problems whatsoever. I have a white Cabrio with the red interior, the pods, no power streering though. When I ordered it, I totally forgot to add that option in lol. It''s ok cause the car is light and it turns on a dime. It does FANTASTIC in the snow. The engine being in the back and a back propulsion is really nice. I put winter tires in the back and it went everywhere. Just like anyone, driving slow in inclement weather is advised...

My car with the top down in the summer is FUUUUUUUUUUUUUN! It''s a herad turner, I had a hard time to get used to all the looks, but now I really dont care. It''s such an easy car to manoeuver around town, it''s peppy and powerful enough to go on the freeway. I took my car from NH to Montreal ( a 6 1/2hr drive ) and it did fantastic. It''s comfortable. The only thing I wish I had was a cruise control, that would be perfect.

I get exceptional Gas mileage. I have a phenomenal 45MPG. I drive conservatively, and I never use the drive. I always shift myself with the paddles... I love my car, i will ride it to the ground.

Anyone hesitating buying one, I say to go for it, they are really reliable and so fun to drive. As my husband is from Germany they have been around in Europe for over 10 years, and fell in love with them when I visisted. So when I heard that they werecoming to the USA, i put myself on the waiting list!!! And have been happy ever since!

Hehe.... the only picture I have of my car was this winter, when we came back from an immigration appointment my husband and I, filled with slush, snow and ice.... lol My poor car lol

woot Musey! So exciting.

Diamante-One of the reasons I want one is I am TERRIBLE with depth perception and I think it would be so much nicer! And I could park anywhere in my town. Sigh.

Amethyste-I love that pic! So cute. Interesting what you said about the power steering, my DH mused that would be the case. I would LOVE to get the Cabrio, but I think we will end up somewhere in the middle with a Passion. Not sure yet though. I am also super glad to hear you like it on trips, we love to road trip and the gas savings would be fabulous! We have a 10 hour drive in January (down south) and were thinking about how fun that would be and gas efficient too. I first liked them a few years ago when I studied a summer in Paris. They were everywhere! There are maybe 2 or 3 in my town.

I really like the shift paddle concept. I am excited to try that. I never use cruise control on my Accord, so doubt I would miss that.

Thanks for talking Smart cars with me ladies
