Haha...no, but I totally thought about it! I am obsessed with polka dots and I am going to incorporate them in subtle ways, like in our welcome baskets and our favors!Date: 4/30/2008 2:19:36 PM

Totally not wedding related - but how did you find your puggie girl? D and I are looking to adopt a pug but our options in the DC/MD/VA area seem to be rather limited.
Ok, I will make this wedding related ... um, are you having a polka dot wedding cake?![]()
YAY! Thanks! I have seen Mid Atlantic Pug Rescue listed on the Petfinder site - good to know that you recommend them! We have a 14 lb. rescue kitty (part Maine Coon) who''s just about the sweetest thing ever, and I don''t think he would have a problem with a pug simply because he peacefully coexisted with animals before we adopted him ... but I want to make sure the pug is OK with the kitty! I am sure it will take a while to find the perfect fit.Date: 4/30/2008 11:24:22 PM

I''m so excited you are thinking about a puggy! Our first pug we got from a breeder in Ohio - it was our first dog and we honestly didn''t know anything about rescuing. But our breeder was great and fantastic (though not convenient to DC!)
I highly recommend the rescue organization we just got Chloe from! It is called Midatlantic Pug Rescue and they work out of our area (DC/MD/VA). They are a wonderful organization. Some pug rescue organizations can be a bit intimidating or judgey, but I found MAPR to be great!
You have to go through a process and there is often a few weeks of waiting to get approved and wait for the perfect pug to come along. Don''t be intimidated - they check your references and come to your house for a home visit. But really, they are super nice and they are very eager to find great families!
I wish I could give you more info - I think I''m not allowed to post my email address here - how do PSers get in touch off the board??
