Hey! I saw all of your lovelies re-posted in "Under 1 ct diamonds" thread and I would love to see more. I used the search feature to find your topics & posts, BUT all of your pictures have been deleted! Please feed our desire for sparklies

LOL, AmysBling - all of my pics were in the eye candy gallery, and when PS 2.0 came about, the galleries got merged and don't have the same link names any longer.

Here are some pics, though. Thanks so much for your kind words. :Up_to_something:

I loooove them all! I was looking for a legacy type setting for my .60 RB from LOGR, but they only have 2 listings on ebay right now... :(( But then I found a nice lan.b04 setting that I am waiting anxiously for so my new sparkly will have a sparkly halo home! Your halos were my inspiration!

LOGR is promoting a close-out sale and I'm not sure if they're really going out of business, or just moving stock to other Ebay stores.

I'm so excited to see your lan.bo4 setting! I have a few from lan.bo4 and his other stores jewelryhoo and I've been very happy with them. Customization can be a problem for them, but so far I've not had any major problems. Gold tends to be a little light and the melee diamonds are smaller, but overall, good value for money.

I can give you a peak at the setting! Here is the setting for my new .6 RB/tranny?? m-n-o

oh, I forgot to mention I got this in an auction that came with E-F Full Cut diamonds, 14kt WG. Clarity is listed as VS1, so this one is an "upgraded" setting. I like the twisting split shank, as I wanted a more substancial halo that wouldn't feel too E-ring-ish.

It's going to be a really pretty RHR; love the twisted shank. Can't wait to see it set!

thanks- luckily my stone dimensions are perfect for the ring, no customizing!

OMG LAUREN!! I MUST have the thin bands that you are wearing around your bezel set eternity band in the third picture down. Where can I get those?? I really really covet them.

Lauren your engagement ring was done by Whiteflash, right? (If and when I'm in the market I'm going to drive down to Houston from the Metroplex to WF and Brian Gavin, but boo, hiss on the sales tax.)

Kiki, thank you! Those little bands are right at 1mm, and very dainty and not great for daily wear, but they've held up better than expected over the years. My husband bought the pair for me at Tuscany Jewelers here in DFW. Unfortunately, their website is terrible, so you may have to call them. I'd bet ID Jewelry could make them pretty reasonably, too.

Texaskj - I'm right there with you on the sales tax, but with the way my engagement ring is holding up (never even needed a rhodium plating!), I would do it all over again. Over and over.

Also, if you have any relatives you could possibly visit that are out of state when your piece is shipped to you, WF would send it to you wherever you happen to be in the country. :Up_to_something:

Thanks Lauren. I can't believe Tuscany has a store in Irving Mall; they must be getting the rent for a song.
Depending on the amount of the sales tax, I could always tell the folks in Houston I was shopping for my dad for a gift for my mom. (They are out of state.)

I think the location where my husband found these rings was at The Stonebriar. Not sure if it's still there; it's been a few years.

You can just be honest with WF, BGD or any other online vendor about your hope to avoid sales tax and let them know you'll be having it shipped out of state. I've had a couple of friends that live here in DFW buy from both of them in the past and approached it that way.

It's fun to drive down there and play with diamonds, though. :naughty:

LTP, I love your collection. Where did you get the tsav and the spess? those are my faves!

Thanks, ForteKitty! Those are 2 of my 4 faves, too. :Up_to_something:

The Spess is from www.ajsgems.com - Chrono found that puppy for me and it's a screaming orange.

The Tsav is from my local jeweler who has had a parcel from Tanzania for years, but no one here in my town has any idea what Tsavorite is. He has a 1 ct. in the same exact cut, color and shape (probably a hair over 6mm x 6mm) and if you're interested, I may be able to connect you with him to see it.

Lauren, you're right about tsavorite not being well-known in D/FW. I remember the first time I saw it was early 90's at a mom-and-pop store in east Fort Worth. It was emerald cut, maybe .5 carat size at the most, in a very simple delicate bypass ring with a maybe .5 diamond accent. The price was $6,000 and they had that ring forever. Sadly, the store went out of business, like so many other non-chain jewelry stores. There's only two left in Fort Worth I trust.

These are great pictures. You have such a lovely collection!

I live in the Mid-Cities - Lauren and texaskj, I'd love to know which jewelers that you're using in D/FW.

Hey MI, the two I go to now are Kube's on West Berry Street by TCU and Grissom's on Camp Bowie West (just ouside 820.)

Cool - thanks for sharing! I've used Dallas Gold and Silver (in Euless, on 183 at Industrial/157) a couple of times and am generally pleased with them, but it's always nice to know of some other reputable places. They had the only cushions and OEC/OMCs that I could find when I was looking for a stone (although I bought mine from a PS vendor after seeing the prices!).

Lauren, I am coming to the next DFW GTG (from Seattle, mind you) just so I can ogle your collection in person. OMG!

Thank you MonkeysInk!

As for me, I live in Plano and primarily use JB Jewelers on Coit/Park. A lot of my custom work and hard-to-set gemstones have been from JB.

Katamari, you'd better bring your bling, too! I adore your wedding set and would love to see it in person!
