Calling former lawyers...

I am interested in finding out whether anyone here trained and worked as a lawyer but is now working in a different field. Just to clarify, I don''t mean you re-trained for a different career or went back to school and became (for example) a nurse but rather than you used the skills you gained as lawyer to move into a different non-legal area? How did you do it and why?

Sorry I can''t help, Smo, but I''m interested in the responses to this as well. People always tell me that a law degree is so useful/versatile/good to have, even if you don''t want to practice law, and that there are so many other career possibilities with a law degree; but I''ve yet to hear what all these other possibilities are.
Everyone I know who left the law has gone into the food/restaurant industry in some way. A few own restaurants, some own bakeries, one owns a wine shop...
